Recertification/CE
Follow these easy steps to complete the recertification/CE process with NCCT.

Do You Have One Certification? The Recertification Requirements Have Not Changed!
To maintain an active certification status, the recertification requirements are
  • the completion of 14 contact/clock hours of continuing education AND
  • the payment of a $77.00 recertification fee.

Do You Have More Than Two Certifications?
If YES, we have good news for you! Beginning with your 2017 recertification, the requirements for three, four, and five (or more) certifications will be changed to the completion of 19 contact/clock hours of continuing education and the payment of a $104.50 recertification fee.

4 29 19 $159.50 $104.50
5 34 19 $187.00 $104.50
6 39 19 $214.50 $104.50

To enable these new changes, the month and day of your certifications will be changed to be the same across all the certifications. The month and day will not be moved up: it will simply either be extended to the month and day of the latest certification, or a date that is in-between all the certifications. The year will stay the same.

Your primary certification will also stay the same as it is now. When you fulfill the recertification requirements for your primary certification, your updated identification card will be mailed. When you fulfill the remaining recertification requirements, your other identification cards will be mailed.

If you have already fulfilled your 2017 recertification requirements for more than two certifications, send an email to conted@ncct.com and we will credidt your account with contact/clock hours and fee payment for 2018.

Policy
To maintain active professional status, NCCT requires annual recertification. Recertification is accomplished yearly by completing continuing education (CE) courses and paying a recertification fee. NCCT requires periodic recertification to ensure that individuals who hold its credentials maintain their ongoing commitment to professional development in their area(s) of practice and to promote the ongoing enhancement of knowledge and skills. The NCCT recertification process provides certificants the opportunity to demonstrate the reinforcement and expansion of their knowledge and skills while also providing recognition to individuals who participate in ongoing professional development.

To fulfill the CE course requirements, certificants can complete NCCT CE courses, listen to archived NCCT webinars, complete NCCT specialty courses, or submit documentation of completion of CE courses from other providers. Outside CE courses are subjected to an approval process. Additional information on outside CE courses follows in this guide.

NCCT provides continuing education courses to its certificants that are designed to enhance the knowledge, skills, and abilities identified by job analysis in the disciplines tested. Course topics are selected using input from subject matter experts, exam committees, reviews of current practice, and suggestions from stakeholders. Topics can range from technical updates to important workplace issues such as safety, communication, and pertinent laws. Individual CE courses typically range from one to six clock hours in length, and all require the successful completion of a test to obtain credit. NCCT utilizes self-instructional courses to assure all our certificants have easy access to continuing education courses.

The courses are available in three formats: on a CD, online from this site, and in printed form (You can purchase individual courses for a fee from our customer service department).
